Microfleece
A really nice Microfleece to work with and sew, and most importantly it works well!
Superfine, snuggly soft, lovely and thin so doesn't add weight or bulk to your nappy.
Microfleece is used as the layer closest to baby's skin. It does not absorb any moisture, but instead wicks it through into the absorbent part of the nappy, and away from baby's skin. Because it does not absorb moisture, it feels dry, keeping baby's skin dry.
Suedecloth is used for the same purpose and is a matter of personal preference to which one you use. Microfleece is known for being the softer and fluffier of the two. Suedecloth is cooler and less bulky, often preferred in warmer climates and times of the year.
