Shipping from New Zealand now

- we shut down our Australian warehouse and operations in July 2025 and relocated all remaining stock to New Zealand. In interacting with this website, you are now dealing with our New Zealand company, orders will ship to you from New Zealand, and prices will exclude GST or the GST will be removed in the check out process. Shipping from New Zealand for most will only take 3-4 days as set out below on this page. It is the same people, mainly Hamish and Hamish alone, that you have dealt with over the past 20-25 years doing everything, just as we progress towards the slow process of shutting everything down, amalgamating everything back to a single location being New Zealand.

 

 

From New Zealand we are currently dispatching orders once every 4-6 weeks. We will eventually be back to daily dispatching when Hamish is in New Zealand full time, currently he is flying back from Brisbane once a month to ship out all the orders to then return to Brisbane to continue the final steps in shuttering our Australian operations.
Dates we will dispatch orders are:
August 4-15
September 27-30
November 15-18
December 13-16
2026 - January 17-27

You should aim to have your orders placed a week prior to the dispatch dates nominated. We will update this page as dispatch dates change, so regularly looking at this page to see if anything has changed with the next dispatch date to assist you placing your order in a timely manner.

Do not read the date range listed and assume you can order on the last date listed and have an order shipped out. Dates include dates of travel to and from NZ, most dates are fly to NZ Saturday, dispatch orders Sunday & Monday, and fly back to Brisbane Tuesday. November 15-18 really means all orders will ship out on Monday 17 November, but don't be surprised if we call you about your order Sunday 16 November as that is when most will be packed and ready to ship out the door first thing Monday.

Pickups are an option, simply contact us 7 days prior to the next dispatch date for us to activate them on the website if we have not already done so and know it is a one day only chance to pick up. We will mostly have pick up's turned off on the website unless contacted to activate them to prevent anyone showing up without prior knowledge we are once a month dispatching. Yes Sunday pick up's will be an option if we are here dispatching on Sunday's as will be the case most occasions in our dates.

NZ Post/Aus Post Eparcel/Courier Select

The primary shipping option most customers will select is Courier Select which is a service NZ Post offers and feeds into the Australia Post Eparcel system/network.

What is Courier Select? - Courier Select is a service NZ Post offer that utilizes the Australia Post Eparcel service to deliver parcels shipped from New Zealand to Australian addresses in a couple of days as if New Zealand was just another state of Australia. Within 24-48 hours of us shipping your parcel in New Zealand with Courier Select, it is on a flight to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth.

Upon arrival into Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth - the parcel is then immediately and without delay feed into the Australia Post Eparcel Standard network by Australia Post and delivered accordingly. The shipping labels we apply to the parcel is an Eparcel Standard labels.

How Long does it take? - As noted above, within 24-48 hours of us shipping your parcel from New Zealand, it would have arrived in either Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. The service also has a smoother and faster customs clearance process into Australia and moves virtually instantaneously through customs. NZ Post find that Courier Select parcels take 3.8 working days on average to deliver. It is possible, and we have seen parcels be delivered within 48 hours of us shipping them to Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne. This is by all accounts not a slow service and once we are back to daily service once Hamish is back in NZ full time – the speed at which parcels are delivered should be faster to most in Australian than when we had a warehouse in Australia and shipping with Australia from Brisbane.

 

Fedex Rates

Fedex rates will display as the alternative option, however these are only attractive for orders that exceed 22kg in weight total and are in off peak periods, which tend to be most times of year that are not November-March. If you are reading this in October, you need to be sorting out your order with Fedex now, that is over 22kg total, or understand you will need to order with Courier Select rates for the November-March peak period. These are more adhoc and massaged manually as we review them from time to time, as last minute rates with FedEx are.

 

Faulty, defect, or mis-shipped Items

If you have received the wrong product or faulty goods, contact us via email, within 5 days of receipt of your order. We will work with you to remedy the situation as quickly as possible. Expect to be asked to email through images of the problem or all the items you received, so preempting that and emailing the photos through from the outset will speed up the process. Is is our discretion if we choose to reship or refund any faulty or mis-shipped product for you to add it again in your next order with us.

 

Exchanges

Due to the cost of shipping back to New Zealand, exchanges is not an option. Please order carefully knowing you cannot return it if you ordered wrong. Pick up the phone and call us if you are in doubt of what you are ordering.
